My Garden

I am very lucky to live in a wonderful house in a wonderful location and with a particularly wonderful garden, I have taken it upon myself to develop this garden and really show off it's beauty.

I have been thinking about the types of plants and shrubs that I would like to see in the garden and  I have been thinking Dwarf Evergreen along with Holly Fern and I really must have some fruit trees in there, I'm thinking cherry and plum.

I am lucky to have a large lawn which gives the garden a real sense of space. Most of the garden is laid to lawn and i have a small area at the bottom of the garden that is patio slabs and also a small section of artificial grass. I had this added as I knew this would be a difficult area to mow and so this seemed like the best solution.

I am lucky to live very close to a really good plant nursery so I can easily pop out when inspired to make changes. I tend to do most of the work myself when it comes to the garden but I also make use of a professional gardener to do some of the more difficult jobs.

My plan is to introduce some tulips and Dahlia's in the not too distant future and I hope this will give my garden a burst of colour and life during the spring and summer months. These I think will also work well with the large display of Delphinium, Foxgloves and Clematis that I currently have. My dream is to have a true cottage garden to relax the summer away and do you know, I don't think I'm far off from having this.
